  1. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous statutory authority established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 for laying down science-based criteria for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import, to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.
  2. FSSAI proposes to fill-up various positions from officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Unde1takings or Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisations on transfer on deputation on Foreign Service terms/ short te1m contract basis failing which from retired Govt. officers on contract basis as per the details contained in Annexure-I. Candidates satisfying the eligibility requirements & having relevant experience, etc can apply online on the link available on the FSSAI web site i.e. www.fssai.gov.inThe last day of online application is 20.04.2020.
  3. The hard copy of on-line application form duly certified by the employer along with Certification by employer/Cadre Controlling Authority in the prescribed format from the employer and other supporting ce1tificates/ documents (Integrity certification, vigilance clearance, Major/Minor penalty imposed during the last ten years and up-to-date copies of APARs for the last 5 years duly ce1tified copies) must get to through proper channel to Assistant Director (HR), FSSAI, FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road New Delhi by 30.04.2020 failing which the online application will not be considered.
  4. The duration of deputation would be originally for 3 years extendable. Further extension beyond 3 years would be subject to performance evaluation in the organization. The terms of deputation consisting of pay of the officials selected on deputation will be governed by provisions laid down in the Department of Personnel and Training’s Office Memorandum No. 6/8/2009- Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17th June 2010 and other orders/guidelines issued in this regard from time to time. The period of deputation, in case of employees already on deputation in an additional ex-cadre post consisting of the period of deputation, held immediately preceding this appointment in the very same or some other organization/Department will not surpass five years. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation will be 56 years on the last day of receiving the applications.
  5. The duration of the contract with retired Govt. employees would certainly be at first for one year. Further extension beyond one year would be subject to performance evaluation in the organization. The remuneration of retired employees appointed on contract basis shall be fixed according to standards.
