ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute has announced Young Professional-II jobs vacancy. Candidates having background in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics can apply for this job.
One post of Young Professional II (YP-II) is available in the Division of Genetics, under maize component of “Network Project on Agricultural Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (ICAR-CABin Scheme)“, purely on a contractual basis (as indicated below). The interview will be held on 08th Feb, 2021 at 9.30 AM through online mode.

“Network Project on Agricultural Bioinformatics and Computational Biology” under CABin Scheme-IARI Centre, Maize Component (Identification and validation of genes and regulatory elements for combined drought and heat stress tolerance through systems biology approaches in maize)
Emoluments (Fixed per month): Rs. 35000/- Consolidated (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn. 1- 06/2020-A&P Dated 04.12.2020)
Essential: Postgraduates in relevant subjects or graduate degree holders in Agricultural sciences/Engineering/Technology (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn. 1-06/2020-A&P Dated 04.12.2020).
Desirable: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics disciplines with working hands-on experiences in molecular work and bioinformatics skills.
How to Apply
Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma (Annexure I and Declarations) along with the scanned copies of the original documents through e-mail to MG.Mallikarjuna@icar.gov.in with a copy to mgrpatil@yahoo.com by January 31st, 2021.
After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed for further details regarding the interview by e-mail. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Terms & Conditions
(i) Age limit: The upper age limit is 35 years; relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH/ Ex-Serviceman/Women as per the ICAR/Govt. of India instructions.
(ii) The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to March 2021 or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier.
(iii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
(iv) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 08th Feb 2021
(v) Reporting time and venue: 09.30 AM. to 12.30 PM (Through online).
(vi) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
(vii) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
(viii) The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration
(ix) The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his near or distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by January 31st, 2021. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
(x) All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
(xi) The candidates have to strictly submit the forms annexed (typed/ filled) duly signed and submit through email.
