English language proficiency tests like IELTS and TOEFL for PhD or Postdoc admissions

A student whose native language is not English would have chosen to take one of the tests like International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for admission to PhD or Postdoc programmes depending upon requirements of the institutions in which the student is planning to apply.
